Big Sky Dining Table

Hooker brings home a dream of wide-open spaces and a life lived in tandem with iconic landscapes with furnishings that evoke the weight, heft and heritage of post and beam construction, the mark and artistry of true craftspeople, and substantive, thoughtful designs right for today. Watch for warm, rustic, hickory veneer, and rich finishes like charred timber, dusk, and avalanche, organic textures like burlap and top grain leather, forged hardware, and classic moldings for the traditionalist. Those with a more modern bent will gravitate toward the clean lines of waterfall edges, crosshatch surfaces and planking details that speak to authenticity and the hand of the maker. Material: Pecky hickory veneers and solid-wood edged top

Finish: Vintage Natural top: a warm, rustic, organic finish over hickory veneers. Distressing includes chopping, rock, drawknife, gauging, chain distressing and wire brush. Charred Timber base: inspired by the restorative beauty of a fire-ravaged forest. Distressing includes worm holes, rasping, gauging, plane shock, hand plane, drawknife, wire brush and screw head.

Hooker also imports an extensive line of wood bedroom, living room accents, dining room, home office and home entertainment furniture and some leather furniture from factories around the world. These include factories in Asia, Mexico and Central America. The design and engineering of these imported furnishings is all carefully overseen by Hooker or Bradington-Young in compliance with our high quality standards.

Hooker is known as an active, contributing corporate citizen in the Virginia and North Carolina communities in which we work and live. Our company is a leading contributor to charitable organizations such as the United Way, education and the arts, and our employees provide service to these organizations through volunteerism and board memberships. The Hooker Educational Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars in scholarships to over 300 children of company employees since its inception in the 1990's.

Big Sky Host Chair

Material: Wood, leather, nailheads and resin

Finish: Vintage Natural: a warm, rustic, organic finish over hickory veneers. Furrowed Bark, a charcoal finish with a crosshatch texture, is the featured finish on the back of the chair. Distressing includes chopping, rock, drawknife, gauging, chain distressing and wire brush.

Leather: Seville Timber (Aniline). Seville Timber features natural hallmarks of the trail such as fat wrinkles healed scars, scratches, and mite marks. Wax-based finishing agent creates surface durability, liquid repellency and a distinctively smooth hand. Designed for active environments.

Inspired by the natural beauty of American wilderness landscapes, the Big Sky Host Chair is vintage, rustic and relaxing.
